Pre-shipment inspection of raw jute and jute goods — grade, construction, moisture and bale-by-bale weight, certified before the goods leave Bangladesh.

Raw jute
Grade, colour, class of fibre and fibre strength; length and texture; handling and cut. Weighed bale by bale on a platform / hanging scale.
Jute goods
Measurement, weight of bags / cloth, weaving defects, construction (porter & shot), jointing of bags and moisture content. Tare weight of selected bales is checked at random.
“The shipping document must be accompanied by the Pre-Shipment Inspection certificate of Rahad Inspection Company, certifying that the goods inspected conform to the contractual specifications in respect of weight and quality.”
